$100 Billion on ICE

The Democrats are up to their old tricks. They decided to make President H. W. Bush back track on his pledge of “No New Taxes.” Either he would allow the government to shut down or he would sign a bill to keep the government open, which included new taxation. Now, the Dems are preventing the funding of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which funds U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The Democrats are the culprits who cannot relieve themselves of their extended belligerence in American politics leaving us vulnerable across the nation. So, where can we go to we get funding for border security? The answer lies with those who are here illegally.

17+ million illegal aliens have illegal social security numbers so that as undocumented workers they can forge documents so they can work. As such, they pay withholding into the social security and income tax systems, which some estimates say amounts to approximately $100 billion. This money can be sequestered by the Trump administration to provide for our national security at the border and elsewhere that illegal aliens threaten our security and peace.

The President of the United States has the authority to determine what the Constitution means for the federal administration of government. Likewise the Courts and Congress have this authority for the Courts and Congress. I support judicial review but not judicial supremacy. The Courts are the final authority on the Constitution only when cases are brought before them; this is judicial review. Otherwise, the Congress determines what is Constitutional for the Congress, and so on and so forth. The suggestion for President Trump will not only fund DHS, it will wage war against judicial supremacy.

With a Presidential directive, possibly informed by the U.S. Attorney General’s Constitutional ‘Opinion’ supporting the same, the President can redirect the monies now available in a government repository where our withheld tax dollars reside. The President and his administration can withdraw those funds, spend them only on law enforcement as noted, and secure our borders and nation without Congressional funding while following the rule of law established by Congress. This redirection of newly sequestered funds is a resource that can be used in the wake of the belligerent Acts of Congress.

Sad is the day when States and the People are subject to Congress’ unfunded mandates. Now we have to deal with unfunded Federal laws. The contrary attitude that the Democrats in Congress and elsewhere have against the law enforcement is seen with the ‘Defund the Police’ movement they began. The belligerence of the Democrats is further seen with their rhetoric against ICE and other federal agencies who are just doing their job. They are sponsoring an insurrection in this nation with no parallel other than with the Civil War.

We must account for the loss of funds, the availability of funds, and the use of Constitutional authority to provide relief of funding for securing our nation. We cannot sit idle and wait for the belligerent Democrats to grow up. That will never happen. Its time for the adults to step in.
