Bernie Sanders as America’s Tasmanian Devil

Bernie Sanders was perhaps more of a hippie than the Clintons ever were. Seeking power of the government to institute the hippie ethos, “tune in, turn on, and drop out,” Sanders followed the community of Vermont hippies who made getting back to nature a ‘thing.’ Sadly, this Vermont hippie has gone yippie and has dipped his toes into the high office of Senator of the United States. He is but a few of the yippie dippy hippies we have left in this country. And things couldn’t be worse.

During the counter culture days of the 1960s and 1970s, the hippie movement was at war with our country’s foundation as a Constitutional Republic. During the Vietnam War, he avoided the draft and has admitted he smoked marijuana. In his youth, Sanders was a part of the Young People's Socialist League and has consistently advocated a counter Constitutional movement to change the political/economic landscape of our country to socialism.

Hippies were generally more about cultural rebellion and personal freedom while Yippies were specifically about fusing that culture with direct political action and revolution. Socialism is a precursor to state run industry (communism) and they are only steps apart from each other. As a political economy, socialism requires dictatorship whereas democratic capitalism requires freedom. Sanders was definitely a yippie hippie who began dipping his toes into political affairs.

As Sanders has chosen to represent, here in America,, the type of government and economy that came from the USSR, he and his new wife honeymooned in former Soviet Russia in 1988. Sanders the socialist has since been radicalized sponsored the new Mayor of New York, Mamdani, who espouses a socialist/communist viewpoint. The problem is that people don’t see him for who he really is – a yippie dippy hippie.

Sanders’ favorite line is ‘billionaire oligarchs.’ Did anyone ever tell Bernie that the billionaire oligarchs are in Russia. I think he’s upset that the politburo has yielded to the new capitalists of Russia, who could care less about the vote of the people more than their own pocket books. The real billionaire oligarchs are supporting Vladimir Putin who has killed more than one million of the sons of the mothers of Russia. Not only so, these billionaires do not support a free economy or government like we have in the West. Sanders would do well if he spent more of his time addressing these problems than trying to remake the USA into a USSR.

And what a hippie-crit! Sanders spends billions of taxpayer dollars as he and a few of his friends in Congress see fit. Not only do they violate the U.S. Constitution (article 1, section 8) with their social justice agenda and socialism, they take political power away from the people when they spend our money contrary to our collective will – aka the U.S. Constitution. As a member of a minority in the U.S Congress, these billionaire oligarchs threaten the democratically elected government of We The People with their progressive/socialist policies running wild. Sanders, et al, are the real billionaire oligarchs who are threat to America.

Maybe we should box Mr. Sanders up and ship him over to Russia where he can break out as a Tasmanian type devil spreading all his fits and spits. I’m sure if we sent Tasmanian Sanders (TazMan) to the former USSR, he would straighten things out quickly. More taxes, less freedom, and more state control over our lives. That’s the spirit. Go Get 'em TazMan! He’s America’s Yippie Dippy Hippie.
